The event was aimed at exploring the challenges of new leadership, innovation, sustainability, and digitalisation as inseparable vectors for the future of business management.

From a strategic viewpoint and with the experience of leading an organisation where creativity, technology and transformation coexist, David focused his presentation on the profound – and often misunderstood – impact that artificial intelligence is having on organisations.

More than a tool: a new business infrastructure

Today, it is not enough to incorporate intelligent tools. AI already acts as a transversal, silent but decisive infrastructure, affecting process design, decision-making models, and organisational culture.
In his address, David shared a central idea: AI isn't going to improve our businesses. It's going to force them to redesign. Not because the technology demands it, but because current working models are not prepared to coexist with non-human intelligence at the core of operations.

Leading in an environment where automation is no longer optional

Technology will not replace leadership. But it will make irrelevant those who do not exercise it with vision and judgment. When decisions are delegated to systems that learn from the past, the leader's role is no longer to know more, but to ask better questions, set boundaries, and set direction.
One of the key focuses of the intervention was the critique of the uncritical instrumentalisation of AI: solutions adopted without understanding the business, culture, or organisational impact. Many companies are not failing at AI. They are failing at architecture.

Thinking will be the real advantage when everyone executes equally

In a context where tools are increasingly accessible and processes more standardised, thought will once again become the differentiator. And, in particular, non-obvious thinking: the kind that dares to dissent, to question, to see beyond the data.
David's intervention concluded with a clear invitation: this isn't about learning AI as one might adopt another technology. It's about leading a complete redesign of the business model, where technology is aligned with a human, ethical, and strategic framework.

An event that connected visions to build the company's future

The event brought together directors from companies such as The HEINEKEN Company, Grupo Lar, and LaLiga, who shared their experiences on innovation, culture, sustainability, and leadership.
At MIG, we celebrate the focus of the Senior Managers Summit 2025 on connecting technology, purpose, and management in a cross-cutting and necessary conversation. We thank ESIC University for the opportunity to contribute to this dialogue from a critical, constructive, and future-oriented perspective.

El pasado miércoles 21 de mayo, David Galán, CEO y cofundador de MIG, participó como ponente en el Senior Managers Summit 2025, organizado por ESIC Business & Marketing School.
