The challenge we tackled alongside your team stemmed from a transformation that goes far beyond technology: Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how people access knowledge. In contrast to a digital experience primarily based on searching, browsing, and consulting documents, new conversational environments accustom users to asking direct questions, providing context, and obtaining immediate, understandable answers. The task was to adapt the Institute\u2019s vast body of knowledge to this new paradigm without compromising the very qualities that give it value: its rigor, specialization, and authority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To address this challenge, we conceptualized and developed ORIENTIA, a conversational AI platform specializing in retirement, pensions, savings, and social security planning. Its architecture combines RAG and Live RAG technologies to retrieve, select, and contextualize knowledge before generating each response. The system operates using the Institute\u2019s authorized document corpus and supplements it with a governed selection of highly reliable official sources, enabling the integration of expert knowledge, regulatory information, and institutional data within a predefined document scope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Development has required work that goes far beyond the mere integration of a generative model. Over the course of several months, we have addressed knowledge structuring and ingestion, retrieval architecture, vector knowledge bases, re-ranking systems, the orchestration of models and technological components, conversational memory, scope definition, and control mechanisms designed to minimize unsubstantiated responses and keep conversations within ORIENTIA\u2019s area of \u200b\u200bexpertise. All of this has been guided by specific plain-language criteria to ensure that potentially complex issues can be explained in an accessible manner without sacrificing accuracy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From its inception, the project also incorporates criteria regarding governance, privacy, security, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. ORIENTIA expressly defines the scope of its operations, does not aim to replace professional advice, and employs mechanisms to monitor both the sources used and the system's behavior. Thus, the technology is no longer viewed merely as an added layer to the project but rather as an architecture designed around knowledge, trust, and user utility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nuestro trabajo tampoco termina en el motor de Inteligencia Artificial. Desde MIG PRISMA somos responsables de integrar ORIENTIA dentro del nuevo ecosistema digital del INSTITUTO SANTALUC\u00cdA, dise\u00f1ando su encaje en la experiencia web y trabajando sobre la forma en la que el usuario descubre, comprende y utiliza la herramienta. A ello se suma la estrategia de contenidos y comunicaci\u00f3n que acompa\u00f1a su lanzamiento, trasladando una innovaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica compleja a un relato comprensible y relevante tanto para la sociedad como para los diferentes p\u00fablicos del Instituto y del GRUPO SANTALUC\u00cdA.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The result is a fully functional solution that transforms years of research and specialized knowledge into an experience accessible via natural language. Yet, the project also represents something broader: a new way of understanding how organizations can leverage Artificial Intelligence to activate the knowledge they already possess. The developed architecture and methodology enable an evolution from specialized knowledge assistants to new scenarios involving customer service, internal support, professional guidance, and services integrated with business processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
